Dear Sirs,

We have been informed of the situation of 6 tigers which have been semi-abandoned by a circus in Tarragona. Although it seems a solution has been found for four of the animals which will be sent to a Safari Park in Madrid, we believe the problem of big cat overpopulation and relocation will only be aggravated if these animals are not sent all completely castrated. It is especially concerning to hear that the owner of this park has repeatedly expressed his interest in breeding these animals. We therefore urge you to avoid contributing to these problems by sending the animals spayed and neutered.

Regarding the other two elder tigers, we have been informed that the veterinarian evaluations that have been done to them so far are insufficient to get a full picture of their health. In order to consider wether these animals are in a condition to be relocated to another center or if they cannot be healed and need to be euthanised, we urge you to carry out the necessary explorations.

Awaiting for your reply.

Yours Sincerely
